When Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller stood trial in March on charges he violated state law in providing late-term abortions, the man now accused of killing him made a point of attending the hearings.

Don Jordan, secretary of the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, sparked a furor last summer when he said that Sedgwick County prosecutors "bullied" SRS social workers into putting information they don't believe in documents that help decide whether to remove a child from a home.
Those comments, first reported in The Eagle, led legislators to call for an investigation, which was released Friday.
